Agricultural collaboration: Strengthening ties between Morocco and Palestine
The Moroccan Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water, and Forests, Ahmed El Bouari, met with his Palestinian counterpart, Rizq Abd al-Rahman Salem Salimia, on Friday in Berlin to explore ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.
This bilateral discussion, held on the sidelines of the 89th edition of the Green Week in Berlin (January 17–26), focused on three main areas: forestry, irrigation, and agricultural production, according to the Palestinian minister.
Palestine considers Morocco a key partner, especially in agriculture, emphasized Minister Salimia. He highlighted the profound ties between the two nations, rooted in fraternal bonds between their peoples. “This relationship is built on solid foundations. Morocco is a dear brotherly nation,” he remarked.
Morocco is showcasing its rich agricultural and cultural heritage at this year's Green Week through a pavilion featuring authentic and diverse local products. These include high-value goods like argan oil, olive oil, saffron, dates, and aromatic and medicinal plants, all adhering to international quality and sustainability standards.
Inaugurated by Minister El Bouari alongside the German minister, the Moroccan pavilion hosts 21 exhibitors representing 39 cooperatives from 12 regions of the Kingdom.
Recognized as a global platform, Green Week 2025 features over 1,500 exhibitors from 60 countries and attracts nearly 400,000 visitors, making Berlin a key hub for discussions on food, agriculture, and horticulture.
