Hakim Ziyech to Leave Galatasaray in January After Regretting His Move

Hakim Ziyech has made the decision to part ways with Galatasaray following a challenging season with the Turkish club. The Moroccan international, who joined the Istanbul-based team last year, has expressed regret over his move and announced his departure in January, citing dissatisfaction with his time at the club.

In a recent interview, Ziyech made it clear that his time with Galatasaray was over. He stated, "Galatasaray is finished for me," reflecting the frustrations he has experienced. The 30-year-old revealed that he was unhappy at the club and no longer wished to play for them, adding, "I am not happy here and I don’t want to play anymore. I told everyone that I will leave in January."

Ziyech's limited playing time, coupled with his unauthorized trip to the Netherlands, has exacerbated his frustrations. "They no longer ask me for anything, so I do whatever I want," he commented, further highlighting the strained relationship with the club's management.

The player's dissatisfaction also extends to the team's coach, Okan Buruk, who Ziyech criticized harshly. "I have never seen a coach at such a low level as Okan," Ziyech stated, underscoring the disconnect between the player and the coaching staff.

Regarding the club's prospects for the current season, Ziyech appeared detached. "I’m not interested… Leave me alone, no matter what happens. I already regret coming here. I should have left at the start of the season, but they didn’t let me. I will leave in January."

Ziyech joined Galatasaray on loan from Chelsea at the start of last season, with the Turkish club triggering an option to purchase him before this current season began. However, he has played only 320 minutes across all competitions so far this season.

The former Ajax star has already attracted interest from several clubs, including Olympiakos, Stade Rennais, and a team in Major League Soccer, with options for his future already on the table.
