Morocco unveils unified digital portal to streamline government services
Morocco has launched a comprehensive National Digital Services Portal, marking a significant advancement in the country's administrative digitalization efforts. The platform, developed by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, centralizes over 600 government services into a single, user-friendly interface.
The new portal, known as "Idarati (eSERVICES)," operates as part of the "Digital Morocco 2030" national strategy. During the Digital Administration Forum, Minister Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni emphasized that the platform aims to provide reliable information through a unified access point, significantly simplifying administrative procedures for citizens.
Leveraging artificial intelligence technology, Idarati transforms traditional informational websites into an interactive platform that efficiently categorizes services, manages requests, and responds swiftly to user inquiries. Ismail Besri, director of administrative digitalization and procedure simplification, highlighted the platform's inclusive design, ensuring accessibility for users with disabilities.
The initiative represents a collaborative effort between key government institutions, including the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Digital Development Agency (ADD), and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT). The platform currently encompasses approximately 2,700 administrative procedures, operating in compliance with Law 55-19 on administrative simplification.
The portal features a direct communication channel for user feedback, enabling continuous improvement of services. This digital transformation initiative positions Morocco as a key player in Africa's digital evolution, with the ultimate goal of achieving complete digitalization of public services to reduce processing times and enhance accessibility for all citizens.
