Arab Ministers Praise King Mohammed VI's Commitment to the Palestinian Cause
Arab ministers of culture, meeting on Wednesday in Rabat, commended the efforts of King Mohammed VI, as President of the Al-Quds Committee, in supporting the Palestinian cause and the people of Palestine.
In the final declaration of the 24th session of the Conference of Arab Ministers Responsible for Cultural Affairs, the ministers acknowledged the contributions of the Al-Quds Committee, led by King Mohammed VI, in safeguarding the cultural identity and civilizational heritage of the holy city. This recognition highlighted the achievements of Bayt Mal Al-Quds, which has played a key role in bolstering the resilience of Jerusalem's inhabitants.
The ministers called on the Arab Organization for Education, Culture, and Science (ALECSO), the Palestinian Ministry of Culture, and Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency to develop an urgent action plan. This initiative aims to precisely identify the needs for strengthening Jerusalem's civilizational identity, preserving its cultural heritage, and supporting the dignity and resistance of its residents.
They also emphasized the importance of creating a networking plan to coordinate actions among relevant institutions and outlined intervention strategies through well-structured programs with clear deadlines.
This 24th session, chaired by Morocco's Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, resulted in the adoption of a Moroccan proposal to establish an Arab forum for cultural and creative industries. Additionally, the session proposed the formation of an Arab group to negotiate with major global digital companies to combat disinformation and counter the risks of radicalization and separatism in the digital space by promoting Arab digital content.
