Mali's soldiers undergo parachute training in Morocco

In a significant development for Mali's military capabilities, 165 soldiers from the Malian Armed Forces are currently participating in a parachute training program in Morocco. This comprehensive training is divided into three distinct phases.

The first phase involves a medical examination conducted by physicians from the first parachute infantry brigade. This essential step ensures that all participants are physically fit for the rigorous training ahead.

The second phase consists of ground instruction led by an instructor from the first parachute infantry brigade. This foundational training equips soldiers with the necessary skills and knowledge before they take to the skies.

The final phase of training includes automatic parachute jumps. Each trainee is required to complete four jumps from an altitude of 4,000 meters, solidifying their practical skills in parachuting.

This training initiative in Morocco is just the beginning, with plans to extend similar programs to over 500 Malian soldiers. These efforts, spearheaded by the transitional authorities, represent a significant leap towards building a more autonomous and well-equipped military.
