Morocco as a model for agricultural development in Eswatini
The minister of agriculture of the kingdom of Eswatini, Mandla Tshawuka, stated on Wednesday in Meknès that Morocco holds a significant advantage in agricultural and technological fields, emphasizing that his country has "much to learn" from Moroccan experience.
In comments to the press following a bilateral meeting with the minister of agriculture, maritime fisheries, rural development, and water and forests, Ahmed El Bouari, held on the sidelines of the 17th International Agricultural Show (SIAM), Mr. Tshawuka praised Morocco's advancements in various areas, including agriculture, irrigation, and water resource management.
He also noted that Eswatini has embarked on an extensive agricultural development program, adding that Moroccan expertise in agricultural programs could be beneficial to his country.
This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss cooperation prospects between the two nations, particularly in agricultural production and effective irrigation.
Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, SIAM 2025, which features the participation of 1,500 exhibitors from 70 countries, continues until the 27th of this month, under the theme "Agriculture and rural world: water at the heart of sustainable development."
As a true crossroads for agricultural policies, this show serves as a pivotal moment to promote exchanges, strengthen international partnerships, and highlight concrete responses to the challenges facing the agricultural sector.
