Strengthening Morocco-Spain cooperation in digital legal publishing

Mohamed Hajoui, Secretary General of the Moroccan Government, welcomed Enrique Ojeda Villa, the new Spanish Ambassador to Morocco, during a meeting held in Rabat on Wednesday.

Both officials praised the excellent neighborly relations, friendship, and mutually beneficial cooperation that continue to grow between the two neighboring countries. These ties are guided by a renewed roadmap based on the high directives and vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as well as the exchanges between the Moroccan sovereign, King Felipe VI of Spain, and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, according to a statement from the Secretariat General of the Government (SGG).

Within this positive framework, Hajoui and Villa discussed potential technical cooperation between the Moroccan Official Printing Directorate, which operates under the SGG, and Spain’s National Official Bulletin Agency, attached to the Ministry of the Presidency of the Government. The focus was on digital production and management of legislative and regulatory texts, along with electronic dissemination of legal information to better serve administrations, professionals, and the general public.

The SGG plans to launch three major projects in this area soon. Spain is recognized as one of the leading European countries in digital legal publishing, and its successful experience offers valuable insights for Morocco, the statement concluded.
