Glovo and Visa partnership
Glovo has collaborated with Visa to provide online training videos to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in nine countries, including Morocco. These videos cover various topics such as digital payment and marketing. This initiative, launched as part of the Glovo Local initiative, aims to support SMEs in their development. It is the result of an international partnership aimed at strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem and promoting the digital transition of businesses.
The Head of Social Impact and Sustainable Development at Glovo, Sébastien Pellion, stated, "The partnership with Visa is a new opportunity to support SMEs in their digital transition and accelerate the development of small and independent businesses in regions like Africa, which offers many opportunities to local entrepreneurs."
On his part, Carl Manlan, Vice President and Head of Social Impact, CEMEA, Visa, stated: "Visa strives to provide large-scale services to reach these sellers and help them thrive. That's why we are proud to collaborate with Glovo and leverage the option of visual training to assist these 40,000 SMEs in enhancing their skills and knowledge, addressing digitization challenges, and seizing the opportunities presented by e-commerce and digital payments."
