Club Med Marrakech Unveils Enchanting 'Ksar' Family Oasis
In a stride towards enriching the vacation experience for families, Club Med, the esteemed French holiday village operator, and Madaëf, the renowned Moroccan tourism investment company, have unveiled the captivating 'Ksar' family area within the Club Med Marrakech-La Palmeraie Resort. This unveiling marks a significant milestone in the partnership's commitment to providing exceptional and environmentally conscious hospitality offerings.
Presided over by Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, and graced by the presence of dignitaries, elected officials, tourism professionals, and other notable personalities, the inauguration ceremony celebrated the addition of this family-centric oasis to the acclaimed resort.
Designed to minimize environmental impact, the construction of the 'Ksar' extension has been undertaken in alignment with the "Very Good" level of the "Haute Qualité Environnementale" (HQE) certification, a testament to the project's dedication to sustainable development.
At the heart of this enchanting enclave lies a captivating central space adorned with a pool for all ages, a paddling pool, a dedicated water play area, and a thrilling slide-equipped basin, promising endless hours of aquatic adventures for families.
The 66 meticulously crafted rooms, designed to accommodate families in comfort and style, radiate around this aquatic oasis, complemented by 25 staff accommodations, further underscoring the resort's commitment to providing an exemplary guest experience.
Embodying a harmonious alliance between luxury and environmental stewardship, the resort has introduced innovative filtration basins, aimed at treating and reusing wastewater for irrigation purposes, thereby minimizing the property's ecological footprint.
Adding to the array of family-friendly amenities, the Club Med Marrakech-La Palmeraie has unveiled a delightful Baby Club Med, catering to the youngest of travelers from 4 months to 23 months, seamlessly complementing the resort's existing lineup of children's clubs tailored for various age groups, including teenagers.
During the inaugural ceremony, Minister Ammor expressed her delight, stating that this extension serves as "a strong signal demonstrating the interest of investors and international brands in our destination." She emphasized the paramount importance of increasing accommodation capacities in the country's 2023-2026 tourism roadmap, particularly in light of the forthcoming major events, such as the 2025 African Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup, which present "golden opportunities to transform our country's tourism industry and stimulate the entire ecosystem."
Henri Giscard d'Estaing, President of Club Med, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the brand's longstanding commitment to contributing to the remarkable tourism development of the Kingdom. "For over 60 years, Club Med has been proud to contribute to the remarkable tourism development of the Kingdom," he affirmed, underscoring Morocco's pivotal role in the company's evolution.
This historic partnership between Club Med and Madaëf is a testament to the deep-rooted and enduring ties that have bound Morocco and Club Med since the latter's establishment in Al Hoceima in 1963. By joining forces with Madaëf, a leader in tourism investment within the Kingdom, Club Med has solidified its position as a major tourism player in the Moroccan market.
The Club Med Marrakech-La Palmeraie Resort stands as a symbol of the brand's transformation, marking the inception of its shift towards a premium and "happy digital" offering in 2004, followed by the unveiling of the exclusive Le Riad collection in 2005. Today, Club Med's entire portfolio comprises Premium and Exclusive Collection Resorts, reflecting its unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.
As the curtain rises on this enchanting family oasis, Club Med and Madaëf have once again demonstrated their dedication to providing unparalleled hospitality experiences while fostering sustainable tourism practices, solidifying Morocco's position as a premier destination for discerning travelers seeking unforgettable family getaways.
