Moroccan Passport Gains Global Strength: Rises to 69th Place in 2025 Rankings

Morocco has strengthened its position in global passport mobility, climbing to 69th place worldwide according to the latest Henley & Partners report. This advancement marks a consistent upward trajectory from its 71st position in 2024 and 80th ranking in 2023.

The Moroccan passport now provides visa-free access to 73 countries, including Angola, Lebanon, Brazil, Gabon, and the Philippines. This enhanced mobility has established Morocco as the frontrunner in North Africa's passport rankings, outperforming its regional counterparts. Tunisia follows at 73rd place with 69 visa-free destinations, while Mauritania (84th), Algeria (86th), Egypt (90th), and Libya (100th) rank lower with fewer accessible destinations.

In the global context, Singapore maintains its premiere position, offering visa-free access to 195 destinations. Japan secured second place with 193 destinations, while France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland, and South Korea share third position with 192 visa-free destinations.

The fourth position is jointly held by Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden, providing access to 191 destinations. Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom complete the top five, with their passports enabling travel to 190 destinations.

Australia ranks sixth with 189 accessible destinations, followed by Canada in seventh place with 188. The United States holds ninth position with 186 destinations, and the United Arab Emirates completes the top ten with access to 185 destinations.

This improvement in Morocco's passport strength reflects its growing international recognition and enhanced diplomatic relations, offering its citizens expanded opportunities for global mobility and cross-border travel.
