Ayuso warns of Spain’s declining image amid transport and power failures
The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has voiced serious concerns about Spain’s international reputation following a nationwide train disruption during the May Day holiday and a major power outage the previous week. She described both incidents as emblematic of the country's growing instability, stating that “with Pedro Sánchez, everything is chaos.”
Speaking to the media before attending a breakfast event organized by Fórum Europa and led by Cepyme president Gerardo Cuerva, Ayuso attributed the situation to the national government's shortcomings. She criticized the absence of long-overdue structural reforms and a lack of national purpose, stressing that dysfunction has worsened under the leadership of Prime Minister Sánchez.
