Service militaire: preparations underway for the 2025 census operation
In alignment with the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, the Ministry of Interior has announced the commencement of the census operation for military service, set to take place from April 25 to June 23, 2025. This initiative aims to integrate the upcoming cohort of conscripts in September 2025.
On April 17, 2025, the Central Committee for the military service census convened at the Ministry of Interior’s headquarters. Chaired by a president of the Court of Cassation, the meeting focused on establishing criteria for identifying young individuals required to complete the census form for military service for the 2025 cohort.
During this session, the Committee outlined the necessary criteria to determine the number of youths to be summoned for the census. This selection will be based on the data compiled by the Ministry of Interior regarding previous military service censuses.
Following the Committee’s approved criteria, lists of selected youths will be created and categorized by provinces, prefectures, and districts based on their residential locations. Relevant services in prefectures and provinces across the nation will print and distribute census notifications to the individuals concerned.
In this context, the Minister of Interior urges young individuals who receive a census notification to promptly fill out their census form via the dedicated website for this operation: www.tajnid.ma.
