Pope Francis Dead at 88, Vatican Reports
Pope Francis, the first Latin American to lead the Roman Catholic Church, has passed away at the age of 88, according to a video announcement from the Vatican.
Throughout his 12-year papacy, he faced numerous health challenges, which worsened significantly in recent weeks. His death marks the end of a historic and transformative leadership period for the Church.
