Fez plane accident: Aircraft veers off runway, three crew members injured
A small private plane, an H25B model, was involved in an accident near Fez-Saiss Airport earlier today, following an unsuccessful landing attempt. Authorities have confirmed that the incident occurred when the aircraft deviated from its intended path at the end of the runway.
Initial reports had implied a crash, but civil protection services clarified that the plane was unable to maintain its course, resulting in significant damage as it veered off the landing strip. Fortunately, the aircraft was empty of passengers at the time of the incident.
The three crew members on board sustained injuries and have been transported to a local hospital for medical attention. The Ministry of Transport and Logistics is expected to release further details as investigations into the cause of the aircraft's deviation continue, as reported by SNRT News.
Fez's emergency response teams acted swiftly to secure the area, mitigating any additional risks after the accident. Footage circulating online illustrates the extent of the damage to the aircraft, which appeared heavily affected by the incident.
