Mbappé files complaint against PSG for psychological harassment

Kylian Mbappé has filed a legal complaint against his former club, Paris Saint-Germain, accusing it of psychological harassment—a new twist in the ongoing dispute between the French striker and the club. The complaint, submitted on May 16 in Paris, was revealed on June 26. It follows his departure from PSG in 2024 as a free agent, and his demand for over 55 million euros in unpaid wages and bonuses.

Sources close to the case confirmed that two investigating judges have been assigned, and a judicial investigation has been launched against unknown parties.

A key point of contention highlighted in the complaint is Mbappé’s placement in PSG’s so-called “loft” during the summer of 2023. At the time, he had refused to extend or terminate his contract, which was entering its final year. Consequently, he was excluded from the team's preseason tour in Japan and sidelined from regular team activities.

After further negotiations, Mbappé returned to the squad and completed the season with PSG before joining Real Madrid in June 2024.

His departure has been the root of several disputes between the two sides, including long-standing financial disagreements. This recent legal development is likely to deepen the rift rather than ease tensions.
