Netanyahu’s plane reportedly lands in Athens amid escalating Iran strikes

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was reportedly taken to an undisclosed location, believed to be Athens, Greece, following a series of Israeli military strikes targeting Tehran and other Iranian cities. Israeli media published images showing Netanyahu’s aircraft escorted by fighter jets en route to this unknown destination outside the occupied territories. Later, Israel’s Channel 12 confirmed the plane had landed in the Greek capital.

The strikes marked a significant escalation, targeting key Iranian military leaders, including Major General Mohammad Baqeri, chairman of Iran’s Armed Forces Chiefs of Staff; Major General Hossein Salami, chief commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps; and Major General Gholamali Rashid, commander of Khatam al-Anbia Headquarters. These high-profile assassinations have prompted Iran’s armed forces to prepare a response.

This development comes amid heightened tensions in the region, with Israel intensifying its military actions against Iran. Netanyahu’s relocation to Greece underscores the volatility of the situation and the strategic moves by Israeli leadership to ensure security amid the conflict.
