Achraf Hakimi visits Real Murcia during injury recovery
Achraf Hakimi was seen on Sunday, November 16, at the Real Murcia stadium, where he was welcomed by Juan José Fernández, the club’s vice-president. The Murcian team even shared a photo of the meeting.
Currently recovering from a recent injury, the Paris Saint-Germain player used his trip to Spain to attend the match between Real Murcia and CD Teruel, which ended in a goalless draw (0–0). Invited as a guest of honour by the team competing in the Primera División RFEF, Hakimi also took the opportunity to talk with local officials and reconnect with a former Real Madrid academy teammate, Relu, now playing for CD Teruel.
Hakimi is among the favourites for the African Player of the Year award, according to the nominees for the men's categories of the 2025 CAF Awards, which honour the best players, coaches, clubs and national teams on the continent. He is also nominated for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025, which recognise the top global football figures every year.
Trained at Real Madrid, the Moroccan full-back has enjoyed an exceptional season with PSG, winning the French league title and the UEFA Champions League.
