In a tragic incident today, an Algerian military aircraft crashed while conducting a training maneuver near the Aoulef region in Adrar province. The Algerian Defense Ministry confirmed that Lieutenant Colonel Bekkouche Nasr lost his life in the crash, which has since been captured in a viral video circulating online.
The ministry stated that the aircraft, a Sukhoi Su-30, went down during a scheduled training flight. Army Chief of Staff Said Chengriha extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased pilot, echoing sentiments from all personnel within Algeria's military forces.
