Aya Gold & Silver's remarkable progress at Zgounder silver mine
Aya Gold & Silver is gaining remarkable traction at its Zgounder silver mine in Morocco. The Canadian mining company has reported significantly enhanced operational results for April, underscoring the growing strength of its primary mining site.
Silver production at the Zgounder mine has surged by 64% since the start of the year, marking a pivotal achievement in the company's trajectory. Aya Gold attributes this ongoing operational success to consistent activity at the site and exceptional performance from the processing plant.
“Our fundamentals are strong, and results are meeting expectations: mining production has increased 64% since January,” remarked Benoît La Salle, the company's CEO and President.
The company is currently implementing several strategic initiatives to maximize production capacity. This includes engaging a specialized contractor to swiftly restore full capacity to the oxygen production unit, which is essential for optimizing precious metal recovery rates. Additionally, Aya Gold is collaborating directly with the equipment supplier to expedite long-term improvements.
The results of these efforts are already evident, as initial tests on the plant's residues confirm the technical parameters outlined in the feasibility study. This advancement provides the company with increased assurance in meeting its performance targets.
Aya Gold remains optimistic about maintaining this positive momentum and achieving its forecasts for 2025. The robust production figures for April represent a significant milestone towards establishing regular and sustainable industrial performance.
The Zgounder site not only positions Aya Gold favorably within the competitive landscape but also enhances Morocco's visibility as a notable player in the international silver market.
