Bayern Munich secures Jamal Musiala's future until 2030

Bayern Munich announced on Friday the extension of Jamal Musiala's contract until June 30, 2030, ensuring the 21-year-old midfielder will remain at the club for the next four seasons. Musiala, who joined Bayern from Chelsea's academy in 2019, quickly ascended through the ranks to establish himself at the highest level of the club.

Bayern Munich's president, Herbert Hainer, praised Musiala, describing him as an exceptional talent who draws fans to the stadium. "People come to the stadium to watch players like Musiala," Hainer said, calling the extension a "gift" for the club on its 125th anniversary.

Max Eberl, the club’s sporting director, emphasized that Musiala represents both the present and future of Bayern Munich. He also highlighted that the club had successfully convinced one of the world's most sought-after players to commit to Bayern for the medium term.

In response, Musiala shared his excitement about continuing his journey with Bayern, expressing his belief in achieving great things with the club in the future. "Bayern is one of the most important clubs in the world. This is where I took my first steps in professional football, and I am convinced I can achieve great things here in the coming years," he stated.

Although the club did not reveal the exact details of the contract extension, German media reports suggest that it includes a double release clause: €175 million two years before the contract’s expiration and €100 million one year before. Musiala’s annual salary is also set to rise significantly, reportedly reaching €24 million, up from his current €9 million.
