Catalyzing Innovation: Tamwilcom and Epson Empower Moroccan Startups
Moroccan financial institution Tamwilcom and electronics giant Epson have joined forces to bolster the nation's startup sector. In a partnership agreement signed last week at GITEX Africa, the largest tech expo on the continent, the organizations aim to enhance access to cutting-edge technologies for domestic ventures.
The deal was finalized by Tamwilcom Director General Hicham Zanati Serghini and Epson Francophone Africa head Ilias Azzaoui. It establishes a collaboration through which Epson will supply an array of advanced printing, scanning, and projection solutions to startups backed by Tamwilcom's Innov Invest Fund.
Epson's products and services are intended to equip these ventures with the tools needed to thrive in today's digital landscape. The company will also deliver training and technical support to optimize conditions during the launch phase of startup projects.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Zanati Serghini noted the alliance builds new ties between public and private spheres, further fueling Morocco's dynamic entrepreneurial scene. He expressed gratitude to partner with Epson, a global tech leader, to assist Innov Invest portfolio firms in accelerating growth.
Azzaoui echoed the sentiment, stating it was an honor to seal the strategic accord. He outlined hopes that the pact marks the beginning of a promising partnership fully committed to nurturing the nation's most innovative startups.
Azzaoui praised Tamwilcom's crucial role in strengthening Morocco's entrepreneurial ecosystem, highlighting Epson's goal of providing solutions that boost efficiency, competitiveness and sustainability for supported ventures. Both parties are confident their combined efforts will catalyze innovation with tangible economic benefits for local communities.
