Celebrating Young Talent The Second Edition of RABAT JEUNESSE

Rabat, November 13, 2024 – The second edition of RABAT JEUNESSE, set to begin on November 16, 2024, promises to be a significant event showcasing the vibrant talents of the youth in the capital, blending sports and culture in an exciting and dynamic format.

Organized by the Rabat Animation and Development Company in partnership with the Wilaya of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Region, this event seeks to highlight and empower young people from Rabat. The program is designed to provide a platform for youth to thrive, develop their skills, and stand out in a wide array of activities, from sports to cultural endeavors.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, which drew a large crowd and made a significant impact in the city, RABAT JEUNESSE 2024 has garnered the support of influential institutional and private partners. Together, these stakeholders are working to create an event of great magnitude that offers numerous opportunities for the youth of Rabat.

Exciting Competitions in Sports and Arts

This year's edition will feature a diverse range of sporting competitions, both collective and individual, drawing widespread enthusiasm. Over 8,000 young participants have already registered through a dedicated online platform, which facilitates the sign-up process, tracks competition progress, and provides instant access to results. These participants will compete in over 60 sports events and 12 artistic contests. 

The sporting events include popular team sports like football, basketball, handball, and volleyball, along with individual disciplines such as cross-fit and urban sports. Special attention is given to ensuring that both male and female participants are equally represented, with nearly 30 girls participating in individual sports.

Cultural Competitions to Showcase Creativity

In addition to sports, RABAT JEUNESSE also celebrates artistic expression. A total of 204 young individuals, including 92 girls, will compete in various creative contests, including drawing, singing, sports commentary, animation, documentary filmmaking, and media. These competitions provide a platform for emerging talents in the arts, fostering creativity in a dynamic environment.

Inclusive and Accessible Organization

The sporting events will be held on Wednesday afternoons and weekends at 175 local venues across Rabat, ensuring maximum accessibility for all participants. Each competitor will receive free sports gear, comprehensive insurance for the duration of the event, and expert supervision from nearly 200 coaches, referees, and jurors.

Honoring Dedication and Talent

At the conclusion of the event, awards will be presented during a grand ceremony to recognize the winners of the various sports and cultural competitions. These prizes will acknowledge the hard work, perseverance, and commitment of the young participants.
