Dubai is set to host the global tech elite from October 13 to 17 as GITEX Global returns to the Dubai World Trade Centre. With its dynamic exhibition floors and numerous product launches, this year’s event promises to showcase cutting-edge advancements in technology and digitalization. At the heart of it all lies Cyber Valley, a sprawling three-hall zone billed as “the ultimate cyber showdown,” where the future of cybersecurity will take center stage.

A global stage for cybersecurity challenges

Cybersecurity has evolved from a niche concern for IT departments to a critical pillar of national defense, global commerce, and digital infrastructure. Alarming statistics highlight the urgency: in 2024, over 15 million cybercrimes were reported globally, and in 2025, organizations faced an average of 1,984 attacks per week, according to Statista.

GITEX’s Cyber Valley aims to address these challenges by bringing together thought leaders, innovators, and policymakers for three days of intensive discussions, debates, and workshops.

The evolving threat landscape

The rapid rise of artificial intelligence and quantum computing has brought unprecedented innovation, but it has also redefined the threat landscape. Cybercriminals are leveraging these technologies to devise sophisticated attacks, raising the stakes for businesses, governments, and individuals alike.

Experts at the Cyber Stage will tackle these pressing issues. On October 14, panels will explore the risks posed by AI and quantum technologies, examining whether machines and humans can form effective partnerships to defend digital borders. Day two will focus on governance and investment, with sessions covering the rise of cybersecurity unicorns and vulnerabilities in cryptocurrency systems. By October 16, hands-on workshops will delve into AI-powered threat detection and strategies to counter advanced cyberattacks.

Exclusive spaces for decision-makers

Beyond the public discussions, GITEX Global 2025 has created exclusive settings for high-level decision-making. The CISO Lounge will offer chief information security officers a private space to exchange strategies and insights. Over 500 one-on-one meetings between global executives, investors, and security providers are anticipated through the event’s dedicated matchmaking program.

On October 15, the CISO Circle will convene more than 200 security leaders for a private briefing, fostering closed-door conversations that could shape corporate and national cybersecurity policies.

High-profile speakers and global perspectives

The event will feature an impressive lineup of speakers with deep expertise in cybersecurity. Mohamed Al-Kuwaiti, the UAE’s Head of Cybersecurity, will outline the nation’s strategy for digital resilience. Corey Thomas, CEO of Rapid7, and Eugene Kaspersky, a leading voice in the field, will join him alongside executives from Citi, FedEx, and Domino’s. Government officials from Brazil and Cyprus will also participate, ensuring a balance between corporate and national perspectives.

Networking across borders

GITEX Global thrives on its ability to bring together diverse voices and perspectives. Whether it’s a policymaker from Europe exchanging ideas with an African startup founder, an AI researcher collaborating with a logistics executive, or a multinational cyber defense company advising a young entrepreneur, the event fosters connections that drive innovation and solutions in cybersecurity.

As the challenges of the digital age grow more complex, Cyber Valley at GITEX Global 2025 stands as a beacon of collaboration, innovation, and resilience in shaping the future of cybersecurity.
