Dacia Duster 2025: a redefined SUV lands in Morocco

The highly anticipated third generation of the Dacia Duster has officially arrived in Morocco, with its debut set for February 13. Since its initial launch in 2010, the Duster has carved out a significant niche in the SUV market, and this latest iteration aims to build on its enduring success.

Boasting global sales exceeding 2.4 million units and a commanding 33% market share in Morocco, the Duster has become a dominant force in the SUV segment. In 2024, it secured fifth place among the best-selling passenger vehicles in the country, with cumulative sales surpassing 95,000 units. This success is attributed to its appealing combination of rugged design, proven versatility, and competitive pricing.

A modern platform with a nod to the future

Built on the CMF-B platform—developed by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance—the new Duster retains its predecessor’s dimensions, measuring 4.34 meters in length, while introducing several upgrades. Known for its lightweight and robust construction, the platform enhances the vehicle’s safety and fuel efficiency. It also lays the groundwork for potential hybrid and electric versions in the future. However, for the Moroccan market, diesel remains the priority, accounting for 80% of sales. The new Duster is equipped with a 1.5-liter dCi engine delivering 115 horsepower.

Bold design evolution

While staying true to its original DNA, the third-generation Duster showcases an updated, more assertive design. A vertical front grille, pronounced wheel arches, and a redesigned tailgate give the SUV a striking presence. Other features, such as Y-shaped headlights, integrated door handles, and the use of 20% recycled plastics, highlight Dacia’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Enhanced interior and technology

The interior has undergone a complete overhaul, offering modern aesthetics and improved ergonomics. Key updates include a vertical dashboard, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen display. The advanced “Media Display” infotainment system enhances user experience with features like smartphone integration via the “YouClip” mount, illuminated USB-C ports, and wireless charging on select trims.

Tailored for diverse needs

Dacia offers four trim levels to meet varying customer expectations. The entry-level Essential trim is priced at 226,900 MAD, followed by the Expression variant at 243,900 MAD. The top-tier Extreme and Journey trims are available for 260,500 MAD each.

With this new generation, Dacia solidifies its foothold in the Moroccan market, positioning the Duster as a benchmark in the competitive SUV segment.
