Donald Trump Wins Arizona: A Clean Sweep in Key Battleground States
Donald Trump has been declared the winner in Arizona, further solidifying his hold on all key battleground states in the recent U.S. presidential election, American media reported on Saturday. After four days of counting, CNN and NBC confirmed Trump’s victory in the southwestern state, traditionally a Republican stronghold but narrowly won by Joe Biden in 2020.
Trump’s victory in Arizona, alongside his wins in Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Nevada, highlights the scope of his victory against Democrat Kamala Harris. Though the 11 electoral votes from Arizona do not alter the election outcome, they add to his nationwide margin, with Trump leading Harris by nearly four million popular votes, a stunning result prompting serious reflection among Democrats.
If this trend holds, Trump would be the first Republican president in 20 years to achieve such a feat, defying poll predictions. With control of the Senate and likely a majority in the House, Republicans could start this new term with strong legislative backing.
