Eid Al-Fitr to be Celebrated on Monday in Several Arab Countries
Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Syria, and Iraq have officially announced that Eid al-Fitr will be observed on Monday, following the completion of 30 days of Ramadan.
In Egypt, Dar Al-Iftaa confirmed that the crescent moon marking the beginning of the month of Shawwal was not sighted. As a result, Eid al-Fitr will fall on Monday.
Similarly, Jordan’s Grand Mufti, Ahmad al-Hassanat, declared that Ramadan would conclude on Sunday, with Eid celebrations set for Monday.
Oman’s authorities also confirmed that the new moon was not observed, making Monday the official date for Eid al-Fitr in the country.
In Syria, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that religious authorities determined that Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday, following a full 30-day Ramadan.
Meanwhile, in Iraq, the Sunni Endowment Bureau announced that Eid al-Fitr will be observed on Monday across the country.
