When asked whether Elon Musk was interested in acquiring the club, Erol responded affirmatively, stating, “He would like to, yes, obviously. Anyone would want to do it, and I would too!”
Erol Musk also shared a personal connection to the city of Liverpool, revealing that his mother was born there before the family moved to South Africa. This revelation adds an emotional element to Elon Musk’s potential interest in purchasing the club, highlighting a family link to the city.
This isn't the first time Musk’s name has been linked to football team acquisitions. In 2022, he humorously mentioned the possibility of buying Manchester United, but later clarified that he had no actual intention to acquire a football club.
