GITEX Global 2025: Redefining the Future of Technology in Dubai
GITEX Global, the world’s largest and most influential technology and startup event, returns to Dubai in 2025 with its most ambitious edition to date. Known for uniting innovators, tech leaders, government officials, startups, and global thinkers, the event promises to set new records and redefine the trajectory of the tech industry.
From October 14 to 16, the Dubai World Trade Centre will host the event for the last time before it transitions to the Dubai Expo City in 2026. This milestone marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter for the iconic gathering.
A record-breaking edition
GITEX Global 2025 is poised to become the most attended and diverse edition in its history. Over 200,000 participants from more than 180 countries, including representatives from 6,500 companies and 400 government entities, are expected to attend. Among them, 40% will be C-level executives such as CEOs, CTOs, and CIOs, ensuring a high-level exchange of ideas and innovation.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) will once again take center stage, with the AI Stage hosting discussions on topics like quantum computing, AI for developers, physical AI, and the latest advancements in semiconductors. Other dedicated stages will explore digital health, cybersecurity, predictive defense, data centers, and more.
Daily themes shaping conversations
Each day of the event will focus on a different theme, reflecting the shifting balance of technology in the modern world:
Monday: Global Realignments – Examining the evolving global tech power dynamics.
Tuesday: Future Frontiers – Spotlighting emerging innovations across industries.
Wednesday: Beyond Biology – Exploring the intersection of technology and biology.
Thursday: Digital Resilience – Addressing the need for robust and secure digital systems.
These themes aim to elevate discussions beyond product showcases, focusing on the transformative ideas shaping the digital future.
Influential voices and leaders
The event will feature some of the most prominent names in technology, business, and innovation. Key speakers include Andrew Feldman (USA), CEO and Co-Founder of Cerebras; Greg Jackson (UK), Founder and CEO of Octopus Energy; and Peter Koerte (Germany), CTO and CSO at Siemens AG. Other notable figures include Bobby Mitra (India), CIO of Tata Electronics, and Taavi Madiberk (Estonia), CEO of Skeleton Technologies. Together, these leaders will address cutting-edge advancements in AI, energy, biotech, and quantum computing.
Governments and innovators under one roof
A unique aspect of GITEX Global is its ability to unite governments and industry leaders in one space. Over 400 government entities will share their strategies on critical issues like smart cities, digital health, cybersecurity, and sustainable technologies. This collaboration underscores the role of governments as active stakeholders in shaping the future of technology.
The next chapter
While GITEX Global 2025 will be groundbreaking, it will also serve as a farewell to the Dubai World Trade Centre, which has hosted the event for decades. From 2026, the event will move to the state-of-the-art Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City, signaling a new phase of growth and influence for GITEX.
As the organizers put it, “2025 marks a record-breaking edition and a defining moment – closing a chapter at Dubai World Trade Centre, where the region’s first-of-its-kind showcase became the world’s largest and most influential tech and startup event.”
