Google takes on Samsung with its new Pixel 11 Pro Fold

Google has unveiled its latest range of smart devices, including the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, a premium foldable smartphone designed to compete with leading devices in the rapidly growing foldable market.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold features a high-end build and measures 155.2 by 150.4 by 5 millimeters when fully unfolded, with a weight of 239 grams. The device is also rated IP68 for resistance to dust and water, providing additional protection for everyday use.

Its main flexible display uses Foldable LTPO OLED technology and measures 8 inches, with a resolution of 2076 by 2152 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. The external OLED screen measures 6.5 inches, offers a resolution of 1080 by 2340 pixels and also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, with brightness reaching up to 3,600 nits.

The smartphone runs Android 17 and is powered by Google’s Tensor G6 processor, reportedly manufactured using a 2-nanometer process. Graphics are handled by a PowerVR C-Series CXTP-48-1536 GPU, while the device comes with 16GB of RAM and internal storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB.

Photography is another key feature of the foldable phone. The rear camera system consists of three sensors with resolutions of 48, 10.8 and 10.5 megapixels, including telephoto and ultrawide lenses. The 10-megapixel front camera can record 4K video at up to 60 frames per second.

The device also supports Nano-SIM and eSIM connectivity, along with USB Type-C 3.2, NFC, Bluetooth 6.0 and a fingerprint scanner. Google has additionally equipped the smartphone with satellite-based emergency communication capabilities.

Power comes from a 4,806mAh battery supporting 30W wired charging and 25W wireless charging. With its large foldable display, high-refresh-rate screens, advanced cameras and premium hardware, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold represents Google’s effort to strengthen its position in the competitive foldable smartphone segment.
