Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, met with the delegation of the UAE Council for Fatwa in Rabat to discuss advancing cooperation in religious guidance and Islamic jurisprudence. The delegation was led by Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah, the council’s president, and Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, its vice president, alongside scholars and experts in Islamic studies.

The meeting underscored the council’s role in promoting tolerance and moderation, aligning with the vision of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Sheikh Hamdan commended the council’s initiatives within the UAE’s religious and legal framework and reviewed its ongoing efforts to foster a balanced approach to Islamic guidance.

The visit coincided with a workshop organized by the UAE Council for Fatwa in partnership with Morocco’s Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. The event explored regulations governing fatwas, aiming to enhance bilateral collaboration and exchange expertise in religious guidance and jurisprudence.

The meeting was attended by several notable figures, including Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Yass bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, alongside members of the UAE delegation.
