His Majesty King Mohammed VI has conveyed a heartfelt message to Moroccan pilgrims embarking on the Hajj pilgrimage this year, 1446 AH. The address was delivered by the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Toufiq, during a ceremony at Rabat-Salé airport marking the departure of the first group of pilgrims.

In his message, the King expressed his congratulations to the pilgrims for their opportunity to undertake this sacred journey, invoking the divine to accept their prayers and ensure their safe return. “I share your feelings as you yearn to visit these Holy Sites,” remarked the Monarch.

HM King Mohammed VI emphasized the profound spiritual significance of Hajj, urging pilgrims to prepare themselves both physically and spiritually. “This is the responsibility of each one of you… only patience, remembrance of God, humility, and piety can help,” he stated.

The monarch further called upon the pilgrims to uphold the teachings of Islam, conducting themselves with dignity, patience, and solidarity throughout their journey. He urged them to adhere to the guidelines provided by Moroccan authorities as well as the regulations set forth by Saudi Arabia to facilitate a safe pilgrimage.

In a display of gratitude, HM King Mohammed VI acknowledged the efforts of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in organizing the Hajj and ensuring the welfare of pilgrims.

The King reminded attendees that they carry the honor of representing Morocco abroad, encouraging them to embody the nation’s values of unity, moderation, and respect. He urged them to pray not only for their personal well-being but also for the prosperity of Morocco and the Royal Family.

“I therefore expect you to be ambassadors for your country and preserve this bright cultural image. Keep in mind that it is these incontrovertible values which have enabled our country to continue to enjoy security and stability, and to press ahead,” concluded the King.
