Perreux-sur-Marne – A quiet residential neighborhood in Val-de-Marne was once again shaken by a violent home-jacking. In the early hours of Sunday morning, around 4:30 a.m., four masked individuals broke into a house located on Quai de l’Artois, forcing open a window to enter.

The intruders confronted the homeowner, who was asleep, threatening her with a hammer before gagging and tying her up with tape. According to police sources, the burglars searched the property for nearly 20 minutes before fleeing with a handful of jewelry. Investigators believe the thieves were specifically looking for gold.

Although the victim was not physically injured, she was left deeply traumatized. “We are in shock,” one local resident said, noting that this was already the third home-jacking in just two months on the same street.

The incident recalls a similar case in April, when masked men stormed another house in the neighborhood, threatening a couple with a knife. The Departmental Judicial Police of Val-de-Marne (SDPJ 94) has taken over the investigation to determine whether the burglaries are connected.
