Houthi rebels in Yemen announced on Saturday that their "Prime Minister" and several ministers were killed in Israeli airstrikes carried out Thursday on the capital, Sanaa.

According to a statement from Houthi authorities cited by the rebel news channel Al-Massirah, “Government chief Ahmad Ghaleb al-Rahwi and several ministers became martyrs in Thursday's Israeli aggression.”

Earlier reports confirmed that airstrikes had targeted Sanaa, but no specific targets were detailed. The Israeli military stated it had struck a "military target" in the Houthi-controlled capital.

The attack underscores the ongoing tension in Yemen, where Houthi rebels maintain strong influence in the northern regions, and Israel continues its strategic operations in the region.
