International U19 Tournament 2025: Top Junior Clubs to Compete at Mohammed VI Academy

The Mohammed VI Football Academy is set to host the seventh edition of its International U19 Tournament from April 24 to 27 in Salé. This prestigious event has become a showcase for emerging football talents worldwide and is now a key date on the calendar for training centers. Twelve teams from eleven countries across four continents will participate.

Among the teams expected are two Moroccan clubs: the Mohammed VI Academy and FUS Rabat. They will compete alongside renowned clubs from Europe, South America, Africa, and the Middle East, including Crystal Palace FC (England), Paris Saint-Germain (France), Girona FC (Spain), River Plate AC (Argentina), FC Famalicão (Portugal), AZ Alkmaar (Netherlands), Udinese (Italy), Panathinaikos (Greece), Volcan Junior Academy (Ivory Coast), and Aspire Academy (Qatar).

Established in 2017, the tournament initially targeted the U17 category with only eight teams. By 2019, it transitioned to the U19 category, significantly enhancing the level of play and its international appeal. This evolution reflects the organization’s commitment to quality and the growing allure of the event.

The Mohammed VI Academy, which oversees the tournament, embodies Morocco's ambition to provide high-level training in sports. With an investment of 140 million dirhams, it offers facilities and an environment that meet the standards of the most prestigious European centers. Its clear goal is to develop Moroccan footballers capable of joining top clubs, both nationally and internationally.

The upcoming edition reinforces the academy's dedication to positioning Morocco as a major player in the identification and training of young football prospects globally. The tournament transcends mere competition; it serves as a strategic catalyst for fostering a new generation of professional footballers.
