Iran confirms repatriation of 120 nationals expelled from the United States
Iran announced on Tuesday that 120 of its citizens will return home this week after being expelled from the United States. According to Hossein Noushabadi, a senior official at the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the deportations are part of Washington’s stricter immigration measures under President Donald Trump.
The official, quoted by the Tasnim news agency, explained that the U.S. immigration services have decided to expel around 400 Iranians in total, most of whom entered the country without legal documentation. The first group is expected to arrive in Iran within the next two days.
The decision comes amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington, adding a new dimension to already strained bilateral relations.
