Iran Warns of Strong Response if US Joins Israeli Strikes
Iran has warned Washington that it will take decisive action if the United States directly participates in Israel’s military operations, according to the Iranian ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva. He described the U.S. as partly responsible for Israel’s actions and emphasized that Iran would establish a clear boundary and respond if crossed, though he did not specify what would trigger such a response.
Israel initiated an air offensive recently, accusing Iran of nearing the development of a nuclear weapon a claim Iran denies. The U.S. president demanded Iran’s unconditional surrender, a statement the ambassador described as hostile and unacceptable.
So far, the U.S. has acted indirectly, assisting Israel in intercepting missiles and increasing its military presence in the region. The ambassador expressed confidence that Iran’s military would respond firmly and proportionally depending on U.S. involvement.
Reports indicated mass evacuations from Tehran and other cities amid escalating missile exchanges between Iran and Israel.
