Israel vows to strike Iran again if threatened, defense minister warns
Israel has issued a stark warning to Iran, with Defense Minister Israel Katz reaffirming the country’s readiness to launch military action if threatened by Tehran. Speaking at an air force graduation ceremony, Katz stressed that Israel’s reach extends deep into Iran’s territory.
“Israel’s long arm will reach you in Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan, and anywhere you try to threaten or harm Israel. There is no place to hide,” Katz declared, according to a statement from his office. He added, “If we must return, we will do so with greater force.”
This comes weeks after Israel concluded a 12-day air campaign against Iran in June, a conflict that escalated fears of a broader regional war. The hostilities ended with a US-brokered ceasefire announced by former President Donald Trump on June 23.
During the campaign, Israeli forces targeted Iranian nuclear facilities, citing concerns over Tehran’s alleged progress toward developing nuclear weapons—a claim Iran continues to deny. The United States also participated in the strikes on Iranian sites, signaling the growing international stakes in the conflict.
