Kühne+Nagel expands partnership with Airbus in Spain
Swiss logistics leader Kühne+Nagel has announced the expansion of its long-standing cooperation with Airbus, extending its services in Spain beyond aircraft logistics to include spare parts for helicopters. This move strengthens the company's role within the European aerospace sector and consolidates its footprint across 16 operational sites throughout the country.
More than 900 Kühne+Nagel employees are currently engaged in activities supporting Airbus in Spain, according to the company’s statement issued on Wednesday. While the firm did not disclose the financial terms of the extended contract, the announcement marks a notable deepening of the collaboration that began nearly two decades ago.
This expanded partnership underlines Kühne+Nagel’s strategic commitment to specialized aerospace logistics. By taking over the handling of helicopter spare parts, the company reinforces its position as a comprehensive logistics provider for one of Europe’s leading aircraft manufacturers.
The development also reflects Airbus’s confidence in Kühne+Nagel’s operational efficiency and logistics expertise. As the aerospace sector evolves, such collaborations are vital in ensuring rapid and reliable support across aircraft and rotorcraft supply chains.
