Kuwaiti Emir receives electric car gift from Turkish President Erdoğan
As part of his ongoing Gulf tour, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presented an electric car of the Turkish brand TOGG to His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait. The gesture symbolizes the deep and friendly relations between the two nations and highlights Turkey’s growing achievements in national industrial innovation.
According to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), His Highness received the gift at Bayan Palace, where President Erdoğan expressed his appreciation and respect for the strong ties that unite the two countries. The TOGG vehicle, produced entirely with Turkish technology, represents the country’s strides in sustainable mobility and industrial independence.
In response, the Emir expressed his heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the thoughtful gesture, wishing continued progress and prosperity to the Republic of Turkey and its people.
The presentation took place during President Erdoğan’s Gulf tour, which includes official visits to Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman from October 21 to 23, 2025. The Turkish Presidency announced that the tour aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, and technology, as well as to exchange views on regional and international developments, particularly in the Middle East.
Several agreements and memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed during the trip, reinforcing economic and strategic partnerships between Turkey and the Gulf states. The tour also underscores Ankara’s active diplomacy in the region, seeking to deepen strategic cooperation and coordinate efforts on shared challenges.
President Erdoğan also stated earlier that he would seek support from Gulf countries, the United States, and Europe for the reconstruction of Gaza under the new ceasefire agreement, expressing optimism that funding would be secured quickly.
