Marseille and top European clubs eye Nayef Aguerd signing
Olympique de Marseille has officially joined the race to sign Moroccan international defender Nayef Aguerd, who recently completed his loan at Real Sociedad. As the club prepares for its upcoming Champions League journey, strengthening its defensive lineup has become a top priority.
According to Foot Mercato, Marseille views Aguerd as a key target for the summer transfer window, especially due to his familiarity with the French league.
Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen from Germany has also expressed strong interest in acquiring the player. Spanish sides Atlético Madrid and Real Sociedad continue to pursue him as well.
It’s worth noting that Aguerd remains under contract with West Ham United until the summer of 2027.
