In a thrilling atmosphere, the South Korean quartet Aespa captivated the audience at OLM Souissi during their highly anticipated debut at the 2025 Mawazine Festival. Thousands of fans enthusiastically joined in, enjoying a performance blending powerful vocals, precise choreography, and futuristic visual effects.
From the opening beats of "Whiplash" and "Next Level," the crowd was electrified, singing along and warmly welcoming stars Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning. The show continued with hits like "Flights, Not Feelings," "Live My Life," "Better Things," and "Spicy," showcasing their unique hybrid sound mixing electronic pop with urban rhythms.
The highlight was their performance of "Aenergy," enhanced by stunning digital projections, lighting, and pyrotechnics that transformed the stage into an immersive experience reflecting the group’s futuristic identity.
The Moroccan audience was equally impressed by the other major act of the evening: Ateez. The eight-member group displayed impressive stage skills, high energy, and tightly choreographed sequences, performing dynamic tracks with hip-hop and rock influences. Their heartfelt interaction with the audience added authenticity to an unforgettable night.
Aespa closed their set with two powerful songs, "Supernova" and "Armageddon" the latter named after their first studio album released in May 2024, which achieved global success. Since their debut in 2020 under SM Entertainment, Aespa has quickly become one of K-pop’s defining acts by combining virtual avatars and augmented reality.
This night at the 2025 Mawazine Festival left a lasting impression: a cultural dialogue through music, a cutting-edge technological spectacle, and above all, a profound connection between artists and fans. It confirmed K-pop as a global cultural force resonating all the way to the banks of the Bouregreg River.
