Meta announced on Wednesday that it will begin personalizing ads and content for users on Facebook, Instagram, and its other platforms based on interactions with its artificial intelligence assistant, Meta AI. The new system is set to roll out globally on December 16, with notifications to users starting October 7.

The company explained that both text and voice interactions with Meta AI will be used to better identify users’ interests and match them with relevant advertisements. This approach will complement existing personalization methods, which already analyze users’ activity such as posts, shares, comments, and likes.

Meta emphasized that the update aims to provide a more tailored experience for users while leveraging AI to refine content delivery and advertising strategies.
