Mobile consulate in Nancy enhances services for Moroccan community
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Strasbourg held a mobile consulate operation in the city of Nancy, serving members of the Moroccan community living in this part of the Grand Est region in France.
This initiative aligns with the consulate's strategy to bring services closer to citizens and modernize administrative procedures. It is part of the broader framework guided by the royal directives and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates.
The operation allowed many Moroccan nationals residing in and around Nancy to access a wide range of essential administrative services. These included the renewal of biometric passports and electronic national ID cards.
Additional services were provided, such as consular registration, issuance of legal certificates, document authentication, and personalized support in administrative, social, and notarial matters.
Abdelaziz El Alami, Deputy Consul General in Strasbourg, emphasized that the initiative reflects a public service approach that is both more humAbdelaziz Al-Alamiane and efficient, responding to the real needs of Moroccan citizens abroad.
He highlighted that these mobile services, carried out across cities under the Strasbourg consular jurisdiction, illustrate a continued commitment to bringing the administration closer to the Moroccan diaspora, particularly considering the challenges they face in mobility.
The Nancy event marked the final stop in a regional consular tour that began in March. Previous visits were made to Fameck (March 15), Longwy (April 5), Épinal (May 10), Metz (May 24), Forbach (May 31), and the Belfort region (June 21).
The Strasbourg consular district covers a broad area that includes the departments of Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin, Moselle, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Vosges, and Belfort.
Through this regional outreach, the consulate reaffirms its dedication to modernizing consular services and strengthening trust between Moroccan institutions and their citizens abroad. This is pursued through an inclusive and cooperative approach in coordination with local community organizations.
