Moroccans erupted in joy after the national football team, the Atlas Lions, secured a 2-0 victory over Comoros in their opening match at the Africa Cup of Nations 2025. The electrifying game took place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, where supporters celebrated both inside the stadium and across the country.

Stadium roars with unrestrained joy

The atmosphere at the stadium was electric, with nearly 70,000 fans cheering passionately. Their excitement reached its peak when Brahim Díaz scored the opening goal in the 55th minute, followed by Ayoub El Kaabi’s spectacular strike to seal the win. The stands erupted in celebration as Morocco maintained a clean sheet, with flares lighting up the crowd and fans waving flags and chanting in unison.
