Morocco-Spain cooperation sets a model for mutual partnership

The collaboration between Morocco and Spain stands as a clear example of a mutually beneficial partnership, stated the president of the Spanish Congress of Deputies, Francina Armengol.

Armengol highlighted that both countries have established an exemplary cooperation in managing migration flows and promoting circular migration. She made these remarks during the 9th Summit of Parliament Presidents and the 18th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean, held in Malaga.

The ongoing and sustained cooperation between Morocco and Spain, along with their joint efforts across various sectors, is beginning to show positive results, especially in economic exchanges, paving the way for a promising future for both nations.

Armengol also praised the success of Spain’s presidency of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean and acknowledged the Moroccan Parliament’s contributions toward fostering cooperation between the two shores of the Mediterranean.

Similarly, the vice president of the Spanish Senate, Javier Maroto, described Morocco as a “friendly country and a key partner” in migration management. He emphasized the strong and friendly ties linking the two neighboring countries.

Leading the Moroccan parliamentary delegation to the summit and plenary session is the president of the House of Representatives and vice president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean, Rachid Talbi El Alami.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean is a regional parliamentary organization composed of 43 countries from both the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean.
