Morocco is on track to attract 18 million tourists by the end of 2025, according to a report on public institutions and enterprises published by the Ministry of Economy and Finance alongside the 2026 Finance Bill.

The report highlights the country’s ongoing efforts to enhance air connectivity and promote Morocco as a leading destination through its 2023-2026 tourism roadmap. This strategy has been paired with substantial investments to boost the industry, with a projected budget of MAD 2.5 billion ($270.92 million) allocated for 2026.

The Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) has already completed investments worth MAD 500 million ($54.18 million), achieving 60% of its forecasted total of MAD 2 billion ($216.73 million). The ONMT plans to sustain this momentum through 2027 and 2028 with new initiatives, including establishing additional air routes and strengthening partnerships with tour operators and online travel agencies. These efforts aim to solidify Morocco’s position as a competitive global tourism destination.

Morocco’s tourism sector is showing remarkable growth, with 15 million tourists reported by the end of September 2025, a 14% increase compared to the same period last year. September alone saw 1.4 million arrivals, reflecting a year-on-year rise of 9%.

In 2024, Morocco welcomed 17.4 million tourists. The country is now working toward its ambitious goal of 26 million tourist arrivals by 2030.
