Morocco to Host African Football Agents Conference 2025
Morocco’s capital is set to welcome the third edition of the African Football Agents Conference (AFAC 2025), scheduled from April 28 to 30 at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel in Rabat, Kasr Al Bahr. This prominent event is spearheaded by the African Football Agents Association (AFAA) in collaboration with FIFA and with support from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
After successful gatherings in Abuja (2023) and Nairobi (2024), AFAC’s third edition marks a vital step forward for football agents across Africa. The event will convene influential stakeholders from the global football industry, political leaders, international sports institutions, and specialists in digital innovation and sports development.
Institutional Engagement and Vision
Among the expected attendees are Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the FRMF; Daniel Gonçalves de Freitas, representing FIFA; and high-level Moroccan and African officials, particularly from sports and digital transformation ministries.
Why Morocco
Morocco’s commitment to sports development through infrastructure modernization, talent nurturing, and active sports diplomacy makes it a natural host. As the venue for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and co-host of the 2030 FIFA World Cup with Spain and Portugal, Morocco continues to play a strategic role in shaping the future of African football. AFAC 2025 is expected to attract global football icons and will conclude with a key announcement concerning the governance of football organizations.
Strategic Three-Day Program
The conference agenda includes panels, keynotes, and workshops featuring global experts, focusing on:
- The influence of political leadership on building a sustainable football industry
- The emergence of officially licensed FIFA agents
- How digital transformation can fuel innovation and inclusion
- Challenges and opportunities in the growth of women’s football
The final day will concentrate on governance, ethics, and sensitive topics such as:
- Youth representation and protection in football
- Tackling human trafficking in sports
A significant announcement is anticipated on the opening day, April 28.
About the Organizers
The African Football Agents Association (AFAA) unites intermediaries licensed under FIFA regulations. It works to promote the interests, representation, and career development of African players locally and globally.
FIFA’s Agents Department supervises the implementation of new regulations, oversees the licensing process and dispute resolution, and aligns with the organization’s strategic goals for a more transparent and professional football environment (2023–2027).
