Morocco’s youth lead sustainable innovation at Enactus festival in Casablanca
Casablanca is set to host the sixth edition of the Sustainable Innovation Fest (SIF), Morocco’s premier event dedicated to social entrepreneurship and sustainable development. Organized by Enactus Morocco, the three-day festival will run from July 8–10, bringing together over 145 university clubs, young entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and institutional partners to celebrate the creativity and impact of Moroccan youth.
A platform for innovation and impact
The SIF is more than just a conference; it is a celebration of the transformative contributions Moroccan youth are making through their innovative projects. This gathering turns Casablanca into a hub of creativity, social innovation, and civic engagement, all aimed at fostering a more just and sustainable future.
Mahdi Caf, Executive Director of Enactus Morocco, highlighted the driving ethos of the event: “SIF embodies a strong conviction: Moroccan youth don’t wait for solutions — they create them.” He emphasized how young Moroccans are addressing today’s challenges by building businesses and initiatives that champion sustainability and equality.
A packed agenda of competitions and discussions
The festival’s program includes several key components, from the National Enactus Competitions, which will determine Morocco’s representative for the 2025 Enactus World Cup in Thailand, to panel discussions featuring change leaders, researchers, and entrepreneurs.
A standout feature, the Innovation Agora, will provide an interactive space to showcase inspiring projects and solutions led by Moroccan youth. The festival will culminate in a closing ceremony honoring the achievements of the most talented and engaged participants.
Spotlight on the green economy
The 2025 edition places special emphasis on the green economy, with sessions addressing Morocco’s pressing environmental and economic challenges. Workshops, debates, and demonstrations will focus on themes like recycling, circular economy practices, and eco-design. These activities aim to highlight youth-driven solutions and encourage practical action for a sustainable future.
National mobilization for change
The SIF 2025 brings together a diverse coalition of juries, mentors, volunteers, and institutions united by a common ambition: to amplify the local impact of young Moroccan innovators. The event underscores how the country’s youth are not waiting for change but are actively shaping it through their entrepreneurial spirit and innovative approaches.
By celebrating and promoting these efforts, the festival positions Morocco’s young innovators as key contributors to the global movement for sustainable development, inspiring others to transform challenges into opportunities for a brighter tomorrow.
