Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu faces infidelity scandal as police intervene
Cameroonian footballer Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu finds himself at the center of a personal scandal just days before joining the national team for a crucial World Cup qualifier.
The controversy began when his partner, Russian artist Nikki, reportedly discovered that the Dynamo Moscow winger had invited another woman into their shared apartment, only a day after her birthday. A heated confrontation ensued, leading to police involvement after Moumi initially tried to block access to their home.
Nikki has since reported the matter to the police and ended their cohabitation, asking the footballer to vacate the apartment. A video of the incident, showing the other woman attempting to hide her face, quickly went viral online, adding to the public scrutiny.
This personal turmoil comes as Moumi has been called up by Cameroon’s head coach Marc Brys for a critical World Cup qualifying match against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on November 13. Despite the scandal, neither FECAFOOT, Cameroon’s football federation, nor Dynamo Moscow has issued an official statement regarding the off-field incident.
Moumi is expected to join the Indomitable Lions’ training camp in Morocco ahead of the game, as the team prepares for this pivotal encounter.
