Oncorad Group pioneers cryoablation procedure in Morocco
Oncorad Group, a leading organization in cancer prevention and treatment in Morocco, has marked a significant milestone with the successful completion of the first cryoablation procedure in Morocco and North Africa. This groundbreaking intervention took place at the Littoral Clinic Ain Diab in Casablanca, as confirmed in a recent statement.
The procedure, performed by Alae Mrani Zentar, an expert in interventional radiology, utilizes extreme cold to freeze and destroy tumor lesions. Mrani Zentar has gained recognition as an international authority in this innovative field. The introduction of cryoablation offers patients a more precise, less invasive, and better-tolerated therapeutic option, as highlighted by Mrani Zentar’s comments on the procedure.
In total, four cryoablation procedures were successfully executed at the Ain Diab clinic, underscoring the group’s commitment to integrating interventional radiology into their treatment protocols.
The statement from Oncorad Group emphasized the transformative nature of this discipline, which allows for targeted and minimally invasive treatment of various conditions, guided by real-time imaging.
